Our Mission:

The Nix name is synonymous with football in the state and their love of the game is evident through three generations. Although they excel at the quarterback position, it’s their family motto, “Football is what we do, it doesn’t define who we are,” that is instilled and played out throughout each season. Through this camp they hope to share not only the mechanics of great QB play but also the importance of character and leadership traits that are valued on every team and any level.

About Us

Patrick’s QB career began at Etowah High school under the tutoring of his father and continued at Auburn where he is best known for coming off the bench as a sophomore to help the Tigers cement the 1993 undefeated season. He then led the Tigers as a starter in 1994-95 to a 17-5-1 record and graduated as the school’s career leader in passing efficiency. Patrick spent the first 17 years of his coaching career in the collegiate ranks with offensive coordinator stops at GA Tech and the University of Miami. Continuing the legacy of his father as his high school coach, Nix stepped into the high school scene at Scottsboro High School in 2013 to coach his sons, Bo and Caleb. His high school head coaching career record stands at 75-27 with two AL 6-A State Championships in 2017 and 2018 at Pinson Valley High. He is the current head coach at Central High School in Phenix City.

Bo began his QB career in 7th grade before earning a varsity spot in his 8th grade season. He led the Scottsboro Wildcats to a 12-1 quarterfinal season his sophomore year before moving to Pinson Valley where he led the Indians to two 6-A State Championships in 2017-18. He was named to the nationally known Elite 11 in 2018 and was recognized as the state’s Mr. Football after his senior season as well as the Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year and the National Quarterback Club’s 2018 HS Quarterback of the Year. Bo chose to continue his playing career at Auburn University where he has won numerous SEC honors including multiple player of the week awards and the 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year. He is entering his third year as the Tigers starting QB.

Caleb, a rising senior, also began his qb career as a 7th grader. He continues to play for his dad as a second year starter at Central High School in Phenix City. He helped lead the Red Devils to the AL 7-A Semi-Finals in 2020. He has plans to continue his QB play on the collegiate level and is currently navigating through the recruiting process.

With over 45 years on the sidelines as a high school football coach, Conrad Nix made his mark in Georgia and Alabama. Winning 300 games as a head coach with two Georgia State Championships at Northside-Warner Robins in 2006 and 2007, the elder Nix has been the recipient of numerous coaching honors including 2001 GA AAAAA Coach of the Year, 2007 GA AAAA Coach of the Year, and a finalist for the 2008 NFL High School Coach of the Year. He has tutored as many as 13 quarterbacks that continued to play in the college ranks – 6 at a Power 5 program- including his son, Patrick(Auburn), Freddie Kitchens (Alabama) and Chansi Stuckey (Clemson).
